Highlights from the 3rd Discovery Space Consortium Meeting in France!

The Discovery Space team gathered in Mulhouse, France, for the 3rd Consortium Meeting on June 20-21, 2024. Day 1 Overview: 

The first day of the Discovery Space Consortium Meeting on June 20, 2024, focused on advancing the Educational Learning Environment (ELE) and introducing innovative tools. The day began with a presentation on the current status of the ELE, showcasing its latest developments and potential impact on STEM education. A key highlight was the introduction of the AI-driven lifelong learning Companion, featuring a learning analytics dashboard that offers insights into the students’ progress. In anticipation of the first pilot implementation, discussions covered expected outcomes and challenges, along with brainstorming on the Companion’s features. The team also worked on the pilot scenarios for the upcoming pilot phase, also reflecting on the evaluation of the project’s impact assessment. The day concluded with a discussion on a roadmap for the integration of AI into classrooms to enhance STEM learning, aiming to foster deeper understanding and critical thinking skills among students.

The second day of the Discovery Space Consortium Meeting centered around the development and integration of new educational scenarios into Discovery Space platform. The team discussed in detail the current status and progress of the project and planned ahead for the upcoming review meeting.
