Discovery Space competition: “Bring Quantum Mechanics to Your Classroom”

Take part and have the chance to participate for free (including travel and accommodation) in the upcoming conference: “Empowering Educators and Learners for the Age of AI”, hosted by Ellinogermaniki Agogi in Athens, Greece between November 7–8, 2025.

2025 has been designated the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, a global celebration of one of the most transformative fields in physics. Quantum science has revolutionized our understanding of matter and reshaped how we perceive the microscopic world. To honor this milestone, we’re thrilled to launch a special competition for teachers from EU countries who are passionate about innovative science education!

How to Participate

We invite you to introduce quantum mechanics to your students by implementing two inquiry-based educational scenarios. To get started:

  1. Register on our dedicated AI platform.

  2. Implement the scenarios in your classroom.

  3. Track your progress directly through the platform.

Click here for detailed instructions on platform registration and use.

The scenarios to be implemented focus on two foundational quantum experiments:

These activities are designed to spark curiosity and promote deep scientific thinking, helping students explore and understand quantum phenomena in an engaging way.

Competition Prize

Teachers from EU countries who complete 50 or more implementations of either scenario by October 28, 2025, will be entered into a draw. Two winners will receive free participation (including travel and accommodation) in the upcoming conference: “Empowering Educators and Learners for the Age of AI”, which will be held at Ellinogermaniki Agogi, Athens, Greece between November 7–8, 2025. Winners will also have the opportunity to present their work to fellow educators and experts.

This is a unique chance to:

  • Connect with a vibrant community of educators

  • Explore cutting-edge applications of AI in teaching

  • Celebrate your contribution to quantum education

Let’s inspire the next generation of scientists and celebrate the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology together!
