From 6 – 11 July 2025, in the framework of EA’s Summer Schools, the Discovery Space International Course 2025 will take place in Marathonas, Athens, Greece. Accredited by the University of Bayreuth and endorsed by the European Physical Society and the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (NTUA), this course aims to introduce participants to the concept of the AI-enhanced Deeper Learning Classroom in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Participants will engage with inquiry-based and problem-based learning, discover how personalized learning can be achieved by introducing AI in the educational process, learn about AI techniques and algorithms, and gain hands-on experience with the authoring tool in order to create adaptable pedagogical scenarios. The course will also explore the steps towards the development of an accountable and trustworthy AI system, and will present specific examples from the implementation of AI systems in the educational process.
Designed for middle and high school STEM teachers as well as graduate students aspiring to teach science and maths, this course aims to increase the confidence of teachers towards the use of AI systems and their outcomes.
